Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Finance Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of Steamships Hospitality Division. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of the division. This role involves overseeing financial planning, risk management, compliance, and operational efficiency, while providing strategic insights to support growth, partnerships, and investment decisions. As a key member of the executive team, the CFO will mentor finance leaders, drive performance, and ensure robust financial governance across the division.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be responsible for achieving financial targets, ensuring accurate reporting, strengthening internal controls, and successfully executing strategic initiatives.
- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to drive long-term growth and strategic initiatives, including joint ventures and acquisitions.
- Financial Management & Planning: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling; ensure accurate reporting aligned with IFRS/GAAP standards.
- Risk & Compliance: Oversee regulatory compliance, internal controls, audits, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Operational Oversight: Mentor finance teams, optimize cash flow and resource allocation, and enhance financial systems and processes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate financial performance to shareholders, investors, and external partners; represent the organization in financial negotiations.
- Administration & General: Standardize reporting and documentation, coordinate divisional reports, and uphold health and safety standards.
What We're Looking For
We’re looking for a seasoned finance professional with:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Commerce, or Accounting.
- Membership in a professional accounting body (CPA, CA, CIMA).
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in senior financial leadership roles.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and commercial acumen.
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- High integrity, professionalism, and resilience in dynamic environments.
